Even if you choose not to use it, its worth it to look at the prices it suggests for you to see if there are any upcoming events that are increasing demand in your city that you were not aware of.Īnyone else have any experience with this service? For now, its free, so I cant really complain about much. They have recently introduced the ability to custom set prices for individual dates, which alleviates this problem, but its a little wonky for now. For example, if BP always increases your weekend rate by $15/night, it would be nice to be able to change the weekend increase factor to your own custom amount. Also, it would be nice to be able to set your own parameters for recurring events. For example, there are some major music festivals in my city where BP will increase prices by $35/night, when in reality you can increase them by $135. In some cases, I disagree with the amount prices are being adjusted. For example, if you have 1 or 2 random week nights available within the next few days, it will cut prices, as these dates are tough to get booked. The other thing I like is that it will automatically decrease prices on days that are unlikely to get booked. There have been a couple smaller local events in my city that I wouldn't have known I could up-charge for that BP identified for me. It automatically up-charges for weekends and holidays, as well as local events. ![]() They analyze local hotel and tourism data and increase or decrease prices based on demand and availability.įor now, its a free service although I believe they plan on charging in the future.īased on my experience here are the Pros/Cons: Beyond Pricing is a 3rd party app that sets and adjusts prices for you automatically.
